TECH KURUKSHETRA 2026
Creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. Applies to all TECH KURUKSHETRA 2026 participants, volunteers, and organizers.
Our Commitment
TECH KURUKSHETRA 2026 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free, inclusive, and welcoming experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or technical ability. We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form.
1. Expected Behavior
Be Respectful
- Treat everyone with dignity and respect
- Use welcoming and inclusive language
- Respect differing viewpoints and experiences
- Be considerate of others' time and space
Be Collaborative
- Work together constructively with your team
- Share knowledge and help others learn
- Accept constructive criticism gracefully
- Credit others for their contributions
Be Professional
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
- Dress appropriately for the event
- Arrive on time and be punctual
- Follow instructions from organizers and staff
Be Ethical
- Submit original work - no plagiarism
- Compete fairly without cheating
- Respect intellectual property rights
- Follow all event rules and guidelines
Be Inclusive
- Welcome participants from all backgrounds
- Use gender-neutral and inclusive language
- Be mindful of cultural differences
- Create an accessible environment for all
Respect Venue
- Take care of venue property and equipment
- Clean up after yourself
- Follow venue rules and regulations
- Report any damages immediately
2. Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action:
Harassment & Discrimination
- Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
- Discriminatory jokes or comments
- Offensive verbal or written remarks
- Bullying, intimidation, or stalking
- Unwelcome physical contact
Disruption & Violence
- Physical violence or threats
- Aggressive or hostile behavior
- Disruptive actions during presentations
- Deliberately interfering with others' work
- Creating a hostile environment
Cheating & Plagiarism
- Copying code or projects from others
- Using pre-built solutions without disclosure
- Collaboration outside of allowed team
- Sharing solutions with other teams
- Misrepresenting work as your own
Substance Abuse
- Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Bringing alcohol to the venue
- Using illegal substances
- Smoking in prohibited areas
Inappropriate Content
- Displaying offensive or explicit material
- Creating inappropriate project themes
- Using hateful symbols or imagery
- Sharing explicit content
Privacy Violations
- Recording others without consent
- Sharing private conversations publicly
- Taking photos without permission
- Doxxing or sharing personal information
3. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously. Depending on severity:
First Offense (Minor)
- Verbal warning from organizers
- Documentation of incident
- Monitoring of future behavior
Second Offense (Moderate)
- Written warning
- Temporary removal from event activities (1-2 hours)
- Final warning before disqualification
Severe Violation (Immediate)
- Immediate disqualification from the event
- Removal from venue without refund
- Banned from future TECH KURUKSHETRA events
- Notification to educational institution (if applicable)
- Legal action if necessary (assault, theft, etc.)
Severe Violations Include: Physical violence, sexual harassment, hate speech, severe plagiarism, intoxication, criminal activity, or any behavior that creates an unsafe environment for others.
4. Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct:
During the Event
- Approach any event organizer or volunteer immediately
- Look for staff wearing TECH KURUKSHETRA ID badges
- Visit the Help Desk at the venue entrance
- Emergency: Call venue security or local authorities
Online Reporting
- Email (Confidential): conduct@techkurukshetra.com
- Anonymous Form: techkurukshetra.com/report
What Happens After You Report
- Your report is received and logged immediately
- Event organizers review the incident within 30 minutes
- Investigation conducted with all parties (if safe)
- Appropriate action taken based on severity
- Follow-up with reporter to ensure safety and resolution
5. Scope of Application
This Code of Conduct applies to:
- All event venues and spaces
- Online event platforms and chats
- Official social media channels
- Event-related email communications
- Team collaboration spaces
- Sponsored activities and workshops
- Networking sessions and breaks
- Travel to/from venue (if organized)
